We all need a Jiminy Cricket

Too short for a blog
Too long for a tweet
Do I cut it right down?
Or add some more meat?

A very short blogpost this week. Just sharing a lovely conversation I had with an inspiring new contact last week – one of the great people I am fortunate to come across who share my passion for personalisation in health and social care.

She described herself as “a bit of a Jiminy Cricket”, which really appealed to me as a concept. Her work involves “supporting local authorities to turn around systems and trying to ensure that change happens with integrity – ensuring culture change is at the root of any moves towards personalisation”

A voice of conscience, sitting on your shoulder saying “why did you do that?”… “is that really the best way forward?”… “is that really going to improve lives or are you just ticking boxes and chasing milestones?…”

Love it.

Yes, we all need a Jiminy Cricket.
