My book launch of “Living well with dementia” – special guest messages from Peter, Kate and Norman

I have posted my own round-up of Saturday’s book launch – “Living well with dementia” by Dr Shibley Rahman.

I am now re-blogging Shibley’s own summary, particularly the wonderful video messages received from Kate Swaffer, Norman McNamara and Dr Peter Gordon. There are also videos of Shibley’s presentation, together with many photographs.

Hi Gill, thanks for sharing this; it looks like a ‘must read’ book and I’ll be getting it for our bookshelf at the Sensory Trust! We did meet briefly at last year’s UK Dementia Congress when I attended your ‘Whose Shoes?’ seminar. You might be interested to see what we’ve done through our ‘Creative Spaces’ project and soon to start in our ‘Creative Spaces in the Community’: http://www.sensorytrust.org.uk/projects/creative_spaces/index.html

It would be good to chat and see if there are links we can make.

Thanks again for the insight into ‘Living Well with Dementia’
